Project Description
Contour’s team performed pre-acquisition due diligence planning for a 150,000 square foot regional power center including a comprehensive environmental investigation on the 40-acre site that operated as an inert landfill for +/-40 years. Investigation required specialized drilling through 60 feet of landfill debris using Sonic technology to allow for groundwater sampling and assessment for volatile organic compounds, semi-volatile organic compounds, and priority pollutant metals. Our staff also performed Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for underground storage tanks at a former gas station site located on this site. In addition, all onsite buildings were surveyed by Contour’s staff for the presence of asbestos-containing materials and lead-based paint prior to planned demolition.
