Project Description
Contour performed a Phase I ESA and Phase II Site Investigation to investigate environmental concerns on this site. The Limited Phase II findings indicted the presence of petroleum constituents in the soil and groundwater due to a release from the UST system. Contour installed four (4) permanent monitoring wells as part of a Corrective Action Plan – Part A (CAP-A) investigation.
Contour then excavated, removed, transported, and disposed of three (3) 10,000-gallon petroleum tanks as well as approximately 150 tons of petroleum-contaminated soil from the site.
After removal of the USTs and soil, Contour prepared a CAP-B for the release. The site is presently under a “Monitoring Only Plan” (MOP). An official “NFA” status is expected to be secured from the GA EPD USTMP by the end on this year.
